Our brand was born in 2022, but our story is rooted in generations of showing love and sharing culture through food. After working various positions in the food industry, Chi decided to use his passion and talent for cooking, his front-of-house experience, and operational knowledge of the food industry to create a business that would represent him, the Hawaii community, and the values this community celebrates.

In July 2022, Chi made the leap to leave behind his entire life in Hawaii (where he lived for 30 years) to support this dream. We made our first musubi sale in January 2023 through Facebook.

Now, you can find our delicious musubi at our weekly pop-up on Sundays in NYC. All our musubi are handmade with love and dedication to a health-conscious lifestyle.

In Hawaii, we believe supporting our community is a shared commitment. As a brand, it is important to us to embrace this kuleana (responsibility). 

The musubi is a symbol of cultural diversity in Hawaii, nourishing locals from all walks of life, regardless of background or income. In this spirit, we hope to bring people together and create a sense of community through delicious, authentic musubi.
